  • Maximize Functional Restoration and Expedient Return to Normal Activities of daily living or to sport activities.
Individualized Treatment
Our team involves a physicaltherapist, a physical assistant, a massage therapist and an exercise specialist. Our goal-directed evaluation team conducts a comprehensive evaluation on each patient to determine effective rehabilitation objectives. From this evaluation, an individually tailored care plan is developed.

Physical Therapy Comprehensive Evaluation for patients diagnosed with scoliosis
The initial consultation comprises:
  • Visual Inspection: observation of curve(s), shoulders, hips, head, pelvis, knees, ankles, feet-from front, back and sides.
  • Specific tests:
    • Range of motion
    • Flexibility
    • Neurological exam
    • Scoliometer measurement
    • Breathing assessment
    • Hyperlaxity assessment
    • Palpation
    • Muscle strength
    • Gait analysis
Physical Therapy Treatment for scoliosis patients (adolescents and adults)
Treatment plans are individualized after completion of initial consultation. Patients typically come 1-2 times per week until they are ready to be more independent. We make attempts to accommodate individual schedules for both adolescents and adults.
